This week in awesome new travel thing I found land, is Sportody! An online information hub connecting adventurers directly with over 80,000 outdoor recreation providers offering awesome things to do outdoors in 100 countries.
Sportody is committed to helping the world enjoy more outdoor sports, and currently boasts the impressive claim of being the world’s most comprehensive travel review network for outdoor sports.
The company was founded by Roger Catchpole after a search for great honeymoon activities in the Florida Keys left he and his wife beyond frustrated at both the lack of community amongst outdoor enthusiasts, and the lack of collective information about adventure offerings. He then set out to create a single database that held a collective catalogue of outdoor activities, which became the wonderful world of Sportody.
At a quick browse for things to do outdoors around Boston, I’m extremely impressed. Their search results are comprehensive and spot on for what I know is around the area.
Also, their “Top Things To Do Outdoors” list is a great curated collection of the best outdoor adventures in each of Americas largest cities. Bonus! There is an app for iPhone and iPad to make it all the easier to find your next adventure wherever you are. Sorry non-Apple users…not yet!
