Introspective Exploration Is a Final Frontier That Never Ends & Only You Can Discover

By definition, an explorer is a person who travels an unfamiliar area; an adventurer. Some might say the days of exploration are far-gone.

With detailed Google maps and ubiquitous GPS, it seems like there are few uncharted areas left on planet Earth. Throw on a virtual reality headset and you barely have to leave the comfort of your home to go experience far-off places.

There’s no question that quintessential explorers setting out to sea with nothing but a vague notion of what lies ahead seem far away from our current reality. Perhaps the days of exploring are dead. Or perhaps not…

Thankfully, there is one final frontier still left to explore. One that can never fully be charted and mapped, as it is ever expanding and evolving. Simply look inside yourself!

Exploring inwards takes you on a journey to investigate and discover new parts of yourself. This type of exploration requires no gear or special equipment. It cannot be captured in awe-inspiring photos or posted about online. However, the beauty of what you may discover can surpass what any external land or sea has to offer.

When you delve into those uncharted territories deep inside, you open up a whole new world of insight. You may uncover parts of what makes you, you, that you’ve never seen or realized before. You may see parts of yourself that you don’t like. You may even see parts of yourself that you don’t recognize as yourself. Whatever you find, I guarantee it will be a show.

When was the last time you explored inside? Try this (first read the activity, since I’m not there to vocalize and guide you, or have a friend guide you while you sit back and practice).

  • Pause. Breathe. Notice what is asking to be seen. Keep breathing.
  • Can you give space to whatever is true for you at the moment? Keep breathing.
  • Can you bring kindness to this? Keep breathing.otice how things change.
  • Notice how perceptions change in the moment.

Now close your eyes and try.

Introspection is the exploration of our inner world—a land that no one else can discover except you. Introspective exploration is the ultimate in solo-travel.

The word “inspired” is derived from the Latin words “to breathe in.” Therefore, Explore Inspired is to breathe in the essence of discovery. Literally, take a breath in and see what you find. Be a pioneer and go where no else has ever gone. Deep inside yourself.
