90 inches in 3 weeks – Boston’s Epic Winter

You’ve seen the Buzzfeed articles, you’ve read the news, and you’ve watched the reports. The record-breaking snowfall continues to pile up in Boston, but it seems the reporting is slanted. You’re only hearing from all the miserable people who want to stay inside and hibernate until June. Me, I’m loving it. And so are lots of other Mass-holes.

The optimistic ones out there make the most of every season. They capitalize on the weather whatever it may be. And they don’t let anything get in the way of having fun. Yes, public transportation is currently a nightmare. Yes, traffic is horrendous. But dammit this is our “Winter of 78” and I’m making the most of it!

Shoveling? It’s a great work out! Cross-country skiing around The Riverway and snow-shoeing to Fenway? When will that happen again? Instead of complaining, start capitalizing. Layer up and get out there! It’s all about perspective and I think the better one is the one that keeps you smiling.

That’s why a strong but less publicized minority of folks in Boston are simply saying: “Let it snow.”
